Is this the American dream?

The fight for belonging is a battle on a battlefield

In the wake of Trump’s bullying

Sisters and brothers hope for a change

The same as Obama had them believe

But leading the blind is what America does best

Yet only a few can see

The stress of betrayal is one that’s too familiar

For a family whose been in poverty since the beginning

There is not a chance of survival for beggars
